概要

偏極電子ビームを開発することはSuperKEKB及びBelle IIの寿命を延長する且つ物理学プログラムを大幅にする可能性であります。この発表は偏極ビームの物理的モチベーション、必要な開発や変更、そして偏極ワーキンググループの進捗を陳述します。

The addition of a polarized electron beam in the HER would be an unintrusive and cost-effective change to expand the physics reach of SuperKEKB and Belle II as well as extend the lifetime of both projects. This talk will discuss the physics and practical motivation for adding a polarized electron beam, the necessary R&D and changes to the existing machine, and work that is currently underway within the Polarization Working Group.
