放射光セミナー「Status and applications of the inelastic X-ray scattering at APS（仮）」

アブストラクト：

Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IXS) and Nuclear Resonant Scattering (NRS) have been important programs at Advanced Photon Source (APS) for more than 25 years. Unique Information acquired from these techniques such as phonon dispersive curves, phonon density of states, sound velocities, phonon electron couplings, electron excitations, hyperfine interactions, magnetic properties has great impact on scientific research, complimentary to X-ray diffractions and other spectroscopy methods.

With the ongoing APS storage ring upgrade, we expect IXS/NRS programs at APS to expend in performance and scope, especially for applications on extreme conditions using smaller beam size introduced by the APS upgrade. APS just came out from a one-year dark period of construction time and is under commissioning for both accelerator and beamlines. Status and upgrades will be shared, and future perspectives on the user program at IXS beamlines will be given in the talk.
