概要

The luminosity of e+e- colliders has drastically increased in recent decades. The luminosity increased 100 times using multi-bunch operation using two rings. Understanding and overcoming beam-beam effects and beam instabilities are essential for the success of the colliders and the design of future colliders. In next stage of e+e- colliders, 100 times luminosity (10^34 ->10^36 cm^-2s^-1) is target. In this talk, beam-beam effects and electron cloud instabilities are discussed, along with the history of the development of colliders and luminosity challenges.
