概要

One of the biggest open questions in particle physics is the hierarchy problem. The fact that the Higgs boson mass is at the electroweak scale, despite the potentially massive radiative corrections that should bring it up to the Planck scale. Supersymmetry has long been postulated as a solution to the hierarchy problem. Over the last years, LHC experiments have set very stringent limits on the most natural supersymmetric scenarios with R-parity conservation (RPC). However, R-parity violating (RPV) models still provide a natural solution to the hierarchy problem, and are much less explored. One additional asset of RPV supersymmetry is that it can provide a satisfactory solution to the flavour anomalies observed in B-factories, which can not be explained in RPC supersymmetry. I will discuss the status and outlook of searches for RPV supersymmetry, discussing in detail recent analyses within the ATLAS collaboration.
