概要

After 15 years of successful operation, PLS (Pohang Light Source) has been upgraded. The main goals were to increase the beam energy to 3 GeV and accommodate more insertion devices, and store beam current 400 mA with low emittance. It has been operated in top-up mode since March 2013. The PLS-II (Pohang Light Source-II) linac is its full energy injector to meet these requirements. The PLS-II linac system and its present operation status will be presented.
