Overview

The Fermilab Accelerator Complex has an established history of pushing limits and exploring boundaries. For decades, the neutrino program launched flagship experiments in the United States that improved our understanding of nature’s extremely tiny identity crisis, but those experiments always wanted one thing: more beam power. Efforts are underway to transform Fermilab into a multi-megawatt facility, but before we get there, we must demonstrate 1 MW first. Join us for insights and discussion regarding improvements made in the Recycler and Main Injector to increase beam power. Hear about the morning when we finally crossed the 1-MW threshold, and learn about some approaches we plan to implement to further improve beam power in the future.
