Overview

Profile: Prof. Simone Di Mitri is Accelerators Group Coordinator at Elettra–Sincrotrone Trieste, an Italian research centre devoted to construction and operation of accelerator-based light sources. He is also Adjunct Professor of Particle Accelerators Physics at the University of Trieste. Since many years, he is member of the Scientific Program Committee of the International FEL Conference, member of the Scientific Advisory Board of IPAC, spoke-person of European collaborations, and member of several international Advisory Committees of accelerator-based light sources. His specialty is beam physics and, in particular, collective effects of high brightness electron beams.
