The Tsukuba Conference is an international conference where talented young people from industry, government and academia from around the world gather in Tsukuba Science City to discuss on various issues in ‘science and technology in society’ to form networks among them.
KEK will co-host the session ‘Shaping the Future with the Biology of Shapes’ with the University of Tsukuba.
Structural biology is developing quickly thanks to new technologies like cryo-electron microscopy, genome editing, and AlphaFold. These tools help scientists understand how life works, how diseases develop, and how we might design artificial life systems. By combining this with chemistry studies, researchers are learning more about how biomolecules move and function. This session will talk about the latest discoveries, future directions, and how structural biology can benefit society.
Everyone is welcome. Students in the field of life sciences and young researchers are particularly welcome to participate.
