Job Description

The position will be based at KEK, working with QUP PI Nanae Taniguchi (Belle II/KEK).
The successful candidate is expected to make outstanding contributions to the following areas related to the Belle II experiment:
・new methods to study new physics in missing energy modes of B/Bs decays
・novel machine-learning techniques applications to data analysis
・operation and characterization of the Belle II Central Drift Chamber (CDC)
The research activities mentioned above will be undertaken as a member of the KEK-Belle II group.
They will align with its ongoing activities covering physics analyses, detector developments, and operation.

Qualification

  • Those who have a doctoral degree in physics or a related field at the time of application, or those who are expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the time they take up the position.
  • Relevant knowledge/skills include data analysis in high-energy physics (HEP,) machine-learning algorithm applications and the operation and characterization of detectors in HEP.
