Job Description

We are seeking candidates interested in experimental low-mass dark matter searches.
Our program focuses on a new search for low-mass dark matter that will be housed in the Kamioka mine. Detector technology is based on Transition Edge Sensors.
The main responsibilities for the new position will revolve around building up the apparatus and experimental techniques, such as very low energy calibration and background mitigation. The position will be based at KEK with frequent travel to Kamioka and occasional travel to Berkeley, USA.

Qualification

・Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field by the time the appointment begins.
・Relevant skills/experience include dilution refrigerator operation, low-noise electronics, superconducting devices, dark matter search experiments, and low background underground facilities.
