Job Description

Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies is seeking to fill one tenured assistant professor position. The successful candidate will belong to the Energy Frontier group and take a strong initiative in the progress of the LHC/ATLAS experiment, based at CERN. The candidate will lead the data-taking operation of the current inner tracking system of the LHC/ATLAS experiment. The candidate will play a central role in the construction, commissioning and operation of the new inner tracking system for HL-LHC. Simultaneously, the candidate should lead international physics analysis teams to obtain results in major physics objectives. The primary workplace for domestic activities is the Tsukuba campus.
