Term

Job Description

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Scientific Innovation Center, and is expected to promote/lead/drive the development and applied research of imaging techniques, primarily using neutrons, in the fields of materials science, materials engineering, and life sciences. Specifically, they will advance the visualization of water distribution within fuel cell stacks as part of NEDO’s “Project to Develop Common Platforms Supporting the Widespread Use of Hydrogen”.
The workplace is KEK Tsukuba campus.

Qualification

A person who has knowledge and experiences in the research area and ability to conduct research and education. Holding a doctoral degree is mandatory when they are employed.
