Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks 1 through 3, as the section leader of the QUP Systemology Support Section.

1.To lead team members in supporting research project start-up (concept study) activities, and to derive best practices for concept studies of research projects.

2.To lead team members to provide systems engineering support for the components of JAXA’s LiteBIRD mission for which QUP is responsible, and to lead system safety and mission assurance activities for the components.

3.To utilize the above two opportunities for human development of the QUP Systemology Support Section.

Qualification

1.An applicant should have sufficient knowledge and experience for this position and meet at least one of the following criteria:
・having a Ph.D. in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent degree,
・having research achievements as equivalent to the above,
・having outstanding knowledge and experience in their primary subject.

2.An applicant should have an outstanding record of research and development in at least one of engineering fields, such as mechanical and structural engineering, thermal engineering, guidance and control system, electronics, etc.

3.An applicant should have experience in project development, including system design in charge of either an entire project or a part of a project (e.g., subsystem), and experience in managing a team of several or more people.
