Job Description

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Synchrotron Radiation Science Division II at the Institute and will primarily promote the advancement of synchrotron radiation experiments with femtosecond lasers under the MEXT’s Quantum Leap Flagship Program (Q-LEAP) “Advanced Laser Innovation Platform: Development of Next-Generation Attosecond Laser Sources and Advanced Measurement Technologies” (Project Manager: Shin-ichi Adachi). The workplace is KEK Tsukuba campus.

Qualification

A person who has knowledge and experiences in the research area and ability to conduct research and education. Holding a doctoral degree is mandatory when he/she is employed.
