Job Description

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Neutron Science Division, and is expected to improve the performance of the Special Environment Powder Diffractometer SPICA operated at the J-PARC MLF, and to conduct materials science research using SPICA, particularly in advancement of battery operando measurement techniques and development of crystal structure analysis methods, also to develop the inter-university research program. The workplace is the KEK Tokai campus.

Person with the ability of research and education.
