Job Description
The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a Project Assistant Professor in the Structural Biology Section. In collaboration with staff in the section and related departments, the appointee will be responsible for advancing experimental and analytical methods for in situ diffraction data collection and serial crystallography in the field of macromolecular crystallography. This research is part of the Platform for Advanced Technologies to Support Innovative Drug Discovery and Life Science Research (BINDS) project, funded by the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).
