概要

The European Spallation Source (ESS) is a planned neutron source are being built in Lund, Sweden, with a start of neutron production in 2020. All low latency systems at ESS including the LLRF are following the Micro-Telecommunications Computing Architecture (MTCA.4). This reports describes the architecture of the ESS LLRF control system and development effort based on MTCA. This architecture offers state-of-art performance, manageability, reliability, and scalability which are crucial for high power proton linacs.
