概要

KamLAND is the detector for neutrino observations with a 1 kt liquid scintillator. It is designed to address not only the oscillation measurements of the electron antineutrinos emitted from distant reactors and the observation of geo-neutrinos, but also variety of scientific topics. KamLAND recently reported the studies of neutrinos from astronomical objects; 7Be solar neutrinos and electron antineutrinos associated gamma-ray bursts. More recently, we pointed out the detectability to neutrinos from pre-supernova stars. This possibility enables a supernova alarm before collapse. Such alarm is peculiarly useful for gravitational-wave detectors and other neutrino detector to avoid downtime at supernovae.
I will talk these recent progress for low-energy neutrino Astrophysics in KamLAND.
