Job Description
The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS) promotes extensive and crosscut use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation (SR), neutrons, muons and positrons, in materials and life sciences. The successful candidate belonging to Synchrotron Radiation Science Division II and Structural Biology Research Center (SBRC) is involved in structural analysis using the cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) (Thermo Fisher, Talos Arctical 200KV, Falcon III) installed in SBRC. The activity of our cryo-EM is supported by the BINDS (Basis for Supporting Innovative Drug Discovery and Life Science Reseach) project (AMED) and the cryo-EM has been open to academic and industrial users since Oct 2018. The person is expected engage in user support, education of users, and maintenance of the cryo-EM and could contribute to R&D for the cryo-EM structure analysis.
Qualification
A person who has knowledges and experiences in the research area and ability to conduct research and education. Holding a doctoral degree is mandatory.
