Job Description
The Accelerator Laboratory calls for applications to a postdoctoral position for accelerator developments in the J-PARC Main Ring Synchrotron under a 5-year specially promoted research project KAKENHI grant for the "measurement of neutrino CP violation by advancement of the T2K experiment" (FY2016-2020, PI: Prof. Takashi Kobayashi). Possible research topics are broad and include, for example, beam instruments development for beam intensity upgrade of the J-PARC Main Ring, as well as beam dynamics data analysis and beam manipulation. Details should be discussed with a contact person prior to application.
Qualification
Applicant must have a Ph.D. obtained at the time of application, or is sure to get Ph.D. prior to starting the job at KEK. Applicant is not required to have experience in accelerator physics or in beam instruments.
