Large-N Renormalization Group Analysis on a Fuzzy Sphere

In this talk, I will discuss a renormalization group analysis for a matrix model that corresponds to a scalar field theory defined on a fuzzy sphere. Through a coarse-graining procedure, it turns out that there appear nonlocal interaction terms that do not exist in conventional quantum field theory. The normalization group analysis is then carried out with an extended action including these interaction terms. I will discuss fixed points for renormalization group equations and perform linearized analysis to determine the scaling dimensions of operators associated with these fixed points, with respect to a couple of types of large-N limit.
