The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Neutron Science Division. They are expected to drive studies of material science using J-PARC MLF. In particular, they are expected to develop advanced usage of the existing polarized neutron spectrometer POLANO operated by KEK and to develop the inter-university program. The workplace is KEK Tokai campus.
