Job Description

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Neutron Science Division, and is expected to develop advanced usage of the special environment neutron powder diffractometer, SPICA, operated by KEK in J-PARC MLF, and to promote the development of the SPICA, and to drive studies of rechargeable battery materials. The workplace is the KEK Tokai campus.
