The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The successful candidate belongs to the Center for Integrative Quantum Beam Science. Based on the experience for the research and education using various quantum beams, he/she is expected to pick up users’ research programs that can be advanced by using different quantum beams, and to support and promote multiple-quantum beam research of users. He/she is also expected to propose and drive an advanced research program using various quantum beams, and to develop experimental techniques required for the quantum beam application.
The workplace is KEK Tsukuba campus, but he/she also visits Tokai campus according to the job.
