Job Description

The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) seeks applicants for a Professor position to work in the field of radiation protection and general safety for accelerator facilities.
The successful candidate will belong to Radiation Science Center of ARL and is expected to supervise the safety management, radiation safety, and crisis management of KEK Tokai area, and, construction of the advanced safety system of the KEK /JAEA Tokai proton accelerator complex. The candidate is expected to play a leading role in the research concerning accelerator health physics and corroboration with other institutes at Radiation Science Center. The candidate gives lectures and supervises students concerning the field. The candidate should have the first class Japanese certification for radiation protection. The workplace is the Tokai campus.
