The Research and Development of Progressive Neutrino Detectors

The Research and Development of Progressive Neutrino Detectors, such as Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber, is conducted at KEK.

Purpose and Vision

The Research and Development of Progressive Neutrino Detectors, such as Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber, is conducted at KEK. The realization of 100kt level Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber will open the unique way to investigate the lepton CP symmetry by measuring the energy dependence of the neutrino oscillation probability over the wide energy range including not only the first neutrino oscillation maximum but also the second neutrino oscillation maximum. This kind of detector is also important to search nucleon decay phenomenon.
