|Guidelines for application||
The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), one of the Inter-University Research Institutes, promotes advanced and multiple use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation, neutrons, muons and slow positrons, in materials and life sciences.
The succesful candidate will be actively involved in one of the following scientific programs. The workplace is KEK Tsukuba campus in principle.
1)Researches by using the X-ray optics/imaging method at the End Station Engineering Section in the Photon Factory
2)Reseaeches in condensed matter physics mainly using X-ray diffraction at the Solid State Physics Section in the Synchrotron Radiation Science Division 1
3)Reseaches in catalysis mainly using X-ray absorption spectroscopy at the Materials Science Section in the Synchrotron Radiation Science Division 2
Applicant must have a Ph. D. degree at the time of application, or is certain to receive Ph. D. prior to starting the job at KEK.
