K1.8BR is a secondary beam line for mass-separated charged particles.
Summary
K1.8BR is a secondary beam line which was completed at first in J-PARC Hadron Experimental Facility in 2008. Mass-separated secondary particles produced at the production target (T1) such as pions, kaons, antiprotons etc. are delivered by this beam line to the experimental area. The maximum momentum of the delivered particles is 1.1 GeV/c. Therefore this beam line is suitable for low-energy kaon or stopped kaon experiments. Experiments on kaonic atom (E17), kaonic nuclei (E15), and $\Lambda$(1420) (E31) are being carried out.
