Research Objectives: The special environments neutron powder diffractometers (SPICA) is optimized for in situ measurements to study materials structures, especially energy related materials.
Features: Observing structural changes in the process of battery reactions using over 1500 3He detectors arranged in cylindrical locus from 175 to 1.6 degree.
