KEK provides unique educational opportunities for the scientists of tomorrow. KEK is one of the affiliated research institutes of the Graduate University for Advanced Studies, or Sokendai, the first university to exclusively offer doctoral programs in Japan. Sokendai is one of the world's leading institutions of its type: a graduate-level-only university affiliated with research institutes and museums that support the best researchers and the finest facilities in the nation. Professors and students of the School of High Energy Accelerator Science work on their research and study as members of KEK.

KEK also offers various learning opportunities to a wide range of audiences, including short-term schools, seminars, camps and more. Every year, KEK welcomes more than 13,000 visitors to our campuses who get in touch with the cutting-edge technologies of today.
